5 Things Every Electrician’s Website Must Have

Electrical work happens inside people’s walls. That intimacy means customers vet electricians harder than almost any other trade — and they do it online, in about thirty seconds, before they ever call. Here are the five things your website must have to survive that vetting.

1. License and insurance proof — above the fold

The first thing a homeowner looks for is legitimacy. Your license number, “licensed & insured” badges, and years in business belong at the top of the homepage, not buried on an about page. Three seconds of trust decides whether they scroll or bounce.

2. One page per service

“Electrician Victoria” is brutally competitive. But “EV charger install Langford,” “panel upgrade Saanich,” and “knob-and-tube replacement Victoria” are winnable searches — if each has its own page. One generic services page cannot rank for six different keywords. Six focused pages can.

3. Photo proof of clean work

A tidy panel with labeled breakers sells better than any paragraph. Before-and-after shots of panel upgrades, EV charger installs, and lighting retrofits dissolve the anxiety of hiring a stranger for invisible work.

4. Service-area pages

Victoria, Langford, Colwood, Saanich, Oak Bay — each suburb is a separate Google search. A single “service area” paragraph does not rank; dedicated pages (or at least dedicated sections) do.

5. A quote form that respects their time

“Describe the issue, attach a photo, we’ll reply within one business day.” That is it. Long forms kill conversions; short ones fill your inbox while you are on a ladder. Pair it with tap-to-call for the urgent stuff.
